So… yesterday I shared a landscape we created a few years ago.  Mostly the bones.  Today is the second layer and a few of the people who take care of the details. 

Interestingly enough, the motor court is planted with a heavy flower border, b Gosh…has it been 5 years?  I have loved this property, and today’s post is mostly the bones, which I am proud of.  Tomorrow’s will be the fluff(the garden) and the people who have cared for it so well. 

A few things that delight m We finished this one up a few weeks ago…I am a heavy planter, but I do believe it takes a new landscape 3 years to settle into itself. 

I love working with containers…old and new, varying shapes and sizes.  I’m not that particula So august 2020, Duncan and I opened our home to this young Indian woman whom we did not know.  The funny part?… we didn’t ask our high school/college kids.  There was the initial awkwardness, but this young woman came into our home with So… I’ve been hopping around this week  with my hands in all types of work.  Checking on projects, setting trees, and delighting at the way our city is becoming greener by the day.  Tish Harrison Warren, an episcopal priest and writer wh Oh gosh…where do I even begin?! We have been on this unique and refreshing property for a few months.  Not only does Pratt Brown bring beautiful, specimen trees, but that man and his crew can plant some flowers!! Many landscapers find flowers I have said this before…I am NOT the cobbler without any shoes!  I buy in abundance and consistently.  And I just could not stand the drab of the garden after this years freeze…so I plugged in clusters of dianthus, poppies for cutting, Wednesday…march 8th.  It was one of those magical days.
